Thank you to all who celebrated Sherry Week with me and around the world this year! We had our biggest campaign yet with over 3100 registered events around the world! GUESS WHAT?? It was our 10th ANNIVERSARY! This sherrified crusade began in 2013 and is still going strong with your support! This year’s individual city focused Rutas, where several venues signed on to host an event (like a bar crawl, essentially), were fantastic! Perhaps you’ve heard of the Camino del Santiago or Ruta de los Mostos de Jerez? Consider the latter inspiration, a pilgrimage to all things Sherry! It’s not something we see in the states, but during post-harvest season, several bodegas register and advertise the sale of fresh mosto, or the first fermented wine of the season on sale.
Check out, naturally, the DC Ruta!
Feel free to revisit the Sherry Website for all sorts of info & recipes and articles on Sherry and stay tuned for Sherry Week 2024 dates next year!
